In short
Artrya's shares rose more than 550% over six months to December 2025 following FDA clearance of its Salix Coronary Plaque module.
The Salix Coronary Plaque module unlocks reimbursement of US$950 per scan under a dedicated US billing code, SG Hiscock says.
Regal Funds Management has set an internal price target of $50, up from an entry price of 70 cents and a recent price near $5.
Cardiac AI diagnostics company Artrya surged more than 550 per cent in six months as a series of FDA clearances unlocked new US revenue streams, drawing an internal price target from one fund manager that implies a further tenfold gain from current levels.
A founder returns to lead the US push
Pengana Capital Group's July 2025 update reported shares up 42 per cent after founder John Konstantopoulos stepped into the CEO role and relocated to the US, alongside a new contract with Tanner Health, moves Pengana viewed positively as signalling further contract announcements ahead.
An FDA clearance unlocks the most valuable module
SG Hiscock & Company's August 2025 update flagged the pivotal event: FDA clearance of the Salix Coronary Plaque module, the company's most commercially significant, unlocking reimbursement of US$950 per scan under a dedicated billing category, a step up from the subscription-only base product. Pengana reported shares rising 108 per cent on the news, with one further module still expected for approval around December or January.
Artrya (ASX: AYA, +37.7%) rallied strongly in August following FDA clearance of its Salix Coronary Plaque (SCP) module, a key milestone that materially expands its U.S. commercial opportunity. Unlike the base Salix Coronary Anatomy product, which operates on a subscription model, SCP unlocks high-value reimbursement of US$950 per scan under a Category III billing code.

A capital raise and a customer registry expand the pipeline
Pengana's October 2025 update reported shares up 45 per cent following an $80 million capital raise, submission of the final software module to the FDA, and a new customer added to the company's Sapphire registry program, with the final module, representing around a third of future revenue, expected to be approved in January. By December 2025, Wilson Asset Management reported shares rising further on news of a second US commercial customer, with Pengana's subsequent update showing the stock had risen more than 550 per cent over the six months to December.
A sharp pullback, then a resumption of gains
Pengana's January 2026 update reported a roughly 25 per cent decline that month following the extraordinary prior rally, before shares rose 43 per cent in the following period on two new customer additions, Northeast Georgia and Cone Health. Pengana's February update pushed back on a broader market reaction against AI-exposed software names, noting Artrya, as a clear beneficiary of AI adoption, seemed an odd casualty of that sentiment, with the stock's approximately AUD 730 million market value still comparing favourably against peers.
Broker coverage and customer validation build credibility
SG Hiscock & Company's April 2026 update reported a direct meeting with Tanner Health, one of Artrya's first US commercial customers, a five-hospital system serving West Georgia and East Alabama with around 200,000 annual emergency department visits, providing what SG Hiscock called encouraging real-world validation of both the clinical utility and economic proposition of the Salix platform. Pengana's own update noted shares rising 21 per cent after broker Bell Potter initiated coverage with a buy rating, followed by a further 20 per cent gain after Barrenjoey also initiated coverage.
The standout surprise in Aldridge's portfolio is Artrya, an Australian medical software firm tackling the world's biggest killer: heart disease. Aldridge backed the company at 70 cents and has watched its shares surge towards $5 as its AI platform transforms cardiac care. He has slapped an internal price target of $50 on the stock, eyeing it as a potential category leader.

Trimming into strength while retaining conviction
Paradice Investment Management's June 2026 update described Artrya as an exceptional contributor since initiation, trimming its position into strength while retaining meaningful exposure to what it called a unique coronary diagnostics platform. Pengana's own June update reported a further 23 per cent gain, drawing a connection to peer EchoIQ's own rally after a $10 million investment from Pro Medicus, noting Artrya had itself hired Pro Medicus' former CFO the month before, a hint at the company's ambitions as it awaited approval of its final flow module.
