Black Cat Syndicate Scales Toward 100koz as Gold Managers Circle
Fund managers say the debt-free WA gold producer is well leveraged to record prices, yet still lacks broker coverage

In short
Black Cat Syndicate is a high-grade, unhedged WA gold producer targeting a 100,000 ounce annual production run-rate.
Paradice Investment Management says the company is well leveraged to record gold prices with a conservative balance sheet.
Despite joining the ASX 300 in September 2025, Black Cat had no sell-side broker coverage, fund managers noted.
A West Australian gold producer with no debt and a clear path to a bigger production run-rate, Black Cat Syndicate has become one of the more closely watched small-cap names among fund managers as gold prices climb.
A high-grade producer scaling toward 100koz
Kardinia Capital's read in September 2025 set the frame: a relatively high-grade, unhedged, WA-based gold producer targeting 100,000 ounces of gold production by the end of 2025, with ambitions to eventually grow to 200,000 ounces, and a strong, debt-free balance sheet behind it. Shares rose 57 per cent that month, helped by a 12 per cent rise in the gold price alongside strong drilling results.
Paradice Investment Management's quarterly commentary from the same period went further into the operational detail, pointing to a series of positive exploration and development updates across the company's Kalgoorlie and Coyote gold projects. The start of mining at the Majestic deposit and confirmation of high-grade intersections at Coyote were, in Paradice's view, meaningful improvements to the near-term production outlook.
Black Cat Syndicate performed strongly during the quarter following a series of positive exploration and development updates across its Kalgoorlie and Coyote gold projects. Management reaffirmed a clear path toward a 100koz per annum production run-rate while maintaining a conservative balance sheet position. The company remains well leveraged to the record gold price environment, and we believe the combination of rising production, disciplined capital management and favourable gold market fundamentals supports further upside potential.

Growing, but still under the radar
What stood out to Paradice was less the growth story itself and more the lack of attention around it: despite approaching a market cap of $1 billion and joining the ASX 300 index in September 2025, the company had no sell-side broker coverage at the time, something the manager flagged as another example of an attractive stock flying under the radar.
By May 2026, Seneca Financial Solutions was using Black Cat as the benchmark for the sector, noting that 100koz per annum producers like Black Cat were trading at around $800 million market caps, a comparison Seneca used to argue that a peer, AMI, was trading at more than a 50 per cent discount to that kind of production profile.
