In short
Imricor Medical Systems, the only maker of MRI-compatible cardiac ablation devices, received its first FDA clearances for its Vision-MR catheter and NorthStar 3D mapping software in a watershed month.
The company completed a A$60 million capital raise at A$1.85 a share to fund commercialisation, strongly supported by institutional investors.
Rady Children's Hospital San Diego became Imricor's first commercial US customer for its NorthStar system, with several other US hospitals in the final stages of purchasing as of July 2026.
Imricor Medical Systems, the only company making MRI-compatible cardiac ablation devices, delivered a watershed month of FDA clearances that fund managers believe drove permanent gains, before completing a $60 million capital raise to fund commercialisation and landing its first commercial US hospital customer in July.
Clearing the FDA's usability hurdle
Saville Capital said Imricor announced successful completion of a Human Factors study covering all of the company's devices then under review by the FDA, a seven-month usability study involving 46 healthcare professionals, including 23 electrophysiologists and 23 EP nurses and technologists from around 20 hospitals across the US, a critical step in the FDA approval process.
A watershed month of FDA clearances
Saville Capital said the silver lining is that gains in Imricor should be permanent, given they were driven by significant regulatory approvals for its suite of products including its NorthStar software, describing a watershed month with receipt of its first two FDA clearances, its Vision-MR Diagnostic catheter and NorthStar 3D mapping software, the first of several expected approvals. Investors Mutual Limited said the stock rose 24 percent, continuing its strong run over the prior 12 months as it received FDA approval for its NorthStar MRI-native mapping product alongside a number of new clinical trial sites in the US.
The gains in IMR should be permanent given they were driven by some significant regulatory approvals for its suite of products, including its NorthStar software. IMR had somewhat of a watershed month, with receipt of its first two FDA clearances.

A capital raise funds commercialisation
SG Hiscock and Company said it participated in a A$60 million capital raise by Imricor, a medical technology company developing MRI-compatible cardiac ablation systems that enable electrophysiology procedures to be performed under real-time MRI guidance rather than traditional fluoroscopy, with the placement completed at A$1.85 a share and strongly supported by institutional investors. Saville Capital said the raise, though well supported, contributed to some register churn and short-term share price weakness.

A first commercial customer, and paediatric label expansion
Selector Funds Management said Imricor, developer of the only MRI-compatible products for cardiac ablations, achieved significant milestones in July, with Rady Children's Hospital San Diego purchasing its NorthStar mapping and guidance system, becoming its first commercial US customer, with several other US hospitals in the final stages of purchasing the system. Saville Capital said Imricor also received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its NorthStar system and its Vision-MR Diagnostic Catheter for paediatric label expansion, allowing the products to be marketed for patients of any age.

What fund managers say they are watching next is conversion of the pipeline of US hospitals in the final stages of purchasing NorthStar, continued clinical trial site expansion, delivery on the paediatric label expansion opportunity, and whether the technology's unique MRI-guided positioning continues driving hospital adoption over traditional fluoroscopy.
