Mayfield Group Rides the Electrification Boom to a 200% FY26 Gain
Fund managers say capital raisings and a growing contract pipeline position the electrical equipment supplier for further upside
31 May 2026 · 4 min read

In short
Mayfield Group's share price rose over 200% in FY26, driven by electrification, data centre and renewable energy demand.
Wilson Asset Management sees 50-100% further upside, citing an $850 million pipeline of near-term prospects.
The company raised over $60 million across two capital raisings in late 2025 to fund acquisitions and double manufacturing capacity.
A specialist supplier of critical electrical equipment, Mayfield Group Holdings has become one of the most highly rated small-cap plays on Australia's electrification and data centre build-out, with its shares up more than 200 per cent in FY26 on a run of capital raisings and contract wins.
Leverage to electrification, backed by a growing pipeline
Ausbil Investment Management's November 2025 note set the scene: Mayfield rose 31.1 per cent that month after a successful capital raise gave the electrical equipment supplier ample balance sheet capacity for organic and inorganic growth. Ausbil described Mayfield as having material leverage to the broader electrification and rewiring-the-nation thematic, running a capital-light operating model with strong cash conversion.
Wilson Asset Management's own November commentary was more explicit on the numbers, seeing 50 to 100 per cent upside over the following 12 months, underpinned by an $850 million pipeline of near-term prospects, a robust order book giving strong visibility over FY26 earnings, and a recently completed $31 million equity raising earmarked for acquisitions expected to be materially earnings accretive.
We see 50 per cent to 100 per cent upside in Mayfield Group over the next 12 months. A robust order book provides strong visibility over FY26 earnings, while a reported $850 million pipeline of near-term prospects suggests a very strong outlook. We think the market is underestimating the substantial earnings accretion, above 50 per cent, that is likely to occur.

Capital raisings fund a rapid capacity ramp-up
Ellerston Capital, naming Mayfield its top monthly contributor in November 2025 after a 31 per cent gain that took the stock up 143 per cent for the financial year to date, pointed to strong structural tailwinds from renewable energy and data centre exposure driving increased utilisation of the company's manufacturing facilities. The $33.5 million raised that month, Ellerston said, was well supported and aimed at an accelerated growth strategy.
By December, Wilson Asset Management noted the company's proceeds from a further $30.5 million capital raising were earmarked partly to more than double existing manufacturing capacity, alongside potential acquisitions the market had yet to reflect in analyst estimates, with the company flagging an approximate $1 billion pipeline opportunity. Ellerston's December quarterly update added operational detail behind the growth, including a $20 million contract for the Brigalow Gas Peaking Plant in Queensland and additional switchroom, battery storage and substation-related work packages, alongside a 111 per cent return for the December quarter that took the stock up 204 per cent for the financial year to date.
A high-conviction position through mid-2026
Ausbil Investment Management, a more recent addition to its own fund, reported a solid quarterly performance from Mayfield in December 2025, tied to accelerating investment across the data centre and renewable energy sectors. Perennial Partners' May 2026 update kept the thematic intact, crediting a further 17.2 per cent gain to demand for electrical infrastructure and power systems as investor interest in rising power intensity and data centre build-out continued to grow, with Ellerston Capital continuing to hold the stock as a high-conviction position within its portfolio.
