30 Sep 2026Ryder Capital BCIHeldRyder Capital continues to hold BCI Minerals as a core passive holding because it sees the Mardie Salt Project anchoring substantial future gains for the portfolio, despite BCI reaching a ~20% portfolio weight after rising 57.0% in the quarter. Ryder notes the market is shifting focus from construction to production: Mardie produced its first 49,000 tonnes of crystallised salt in FY26, construction was 85% complete at 30 June, and the project remains within its $1,443m salt-first budget with $258m to complete against $423m of liquidity. First salt on ship is now guided for the March quarter of 2027, a modest slip after two late-season cyclones. A Sulphate of Potash pilot plant contract was also awarded within existing funding, de-risking a second earnings stream.
